Noah loved Quidditch, though his mind was not totally on the game. He'd heard a few things, one being that Juniper made up tattoos--some manly and some not-- he could deal with both, as he was a pretty secure guy. But he'd also heard that she stood up for James Potter. They had a bit of a rivalry going, it was rather playful really, they just liked to one up each other and prove one of them was better than the other, a house quidditch rivalry. But now James had somehow gotten into his love life.
Noah couldn't even enjoy gloating when the Slytherins won... much.
He went down to the lockers, cheering with his fellow players for a job well done. He was the keeper and the captain so they all looked to him for direction, it could be exhausting. Juniper usually met him by the locker rooms after each of his games. He could hear the cheers from outside and from the players as he got out of his uniform, checking every so often for June to appear.

Juniper didn't have much in the way of Slytherin clothing, but she did have a hat. Good thing she could pull off hats. House pride was important on game days. So was having fun. Normally game days were lots of fun, although, of course, it depended on who won. Today, with the win, had all the makings of a very fun day. And Juniper, who had an unexpected surge in popularity by dating Noah, had been surrounded by people cheering alongside her all throughout the day. It was wonderful cheering for her boyfriend (she still couldn't get over that word. boyfriend.) but it was made all the better because everyone else on the Slytherin side supported him, too. Part of a big family. That's what it felt like. With Noah, like a shining star, in the middle.
Even though there were men undressing in the locker room, Juniper jogged in anyway. Making a beeline straight for Noah, she wrapped her arms around him and gave him a kiss. Pulling away, she held a very large Slytherin flag in her hands and presented it to him. She couldn't stop smiling. "On behalf on the Slytherin House, I present you, oh venerable captain, with this flag."
It had sortof been given to her during the game. As captain's girlfriend, she was also expected to be head cheerleader for their cause. Other people helped her hold it, of course, but it was Juniper's idea towards the end to cover it in writing. People took turns writing out things like "Way to go team!" and "Nice save, captain!" Juniper's personal contribution was "Good thing you've won, or I would've stopped liking you =P"

Noah couldn't help but smile when Juniper ran in. She was so adorable, especially when she wore a winter hat with a t-shirt. A few teammates whistled and he just laughed them off, but feeling a little protective said, "Hey guys, come on!" He held her to his side, granted he was a bit sweaty but he was shirtless and she would enjoy that anyway.
The flag was comical and he rather liked it. The comments were often inspired, like June's and he hang it inside the door of his locker as a reminder of victory. "Thank babe, enjoy the game? He asked, letting go of her to towel his hair dry for a moment. But he hated to do it, as if one of his towel clad teammated might snatch her up.
"And I heard about all my crazy and sometimes girly back tattoos." He said with a laugh. "I'm thinking that pony one is the winner." Noah admitted, smirking lightly. But really, no one was going to think him less manly, they liked him too much. Slytherins anyway, but he didn't much care about the rest.

Juniper chuckled at the attention she drew, but she allowed herself to pulled into Noah's side. She looked up lovingly at him to show that only he occupied her attention. It was actually adorable how protective he was - Juniper never had anyone be so afraid of losing her. It made her feel important. "I did." she said, in terms of the game. Lowering her voice, she said. "I can only think of one or two other occasions where I get to see you in impressive positions. Doing tricks with your broomstick." She winked and laughed, but then stopped the kidding. Earnestly now, she added, "It was spectacular and you were great. Especially that last save."
Juniper watched Noah dry his hair when he mentioned the tattoos. Juniper blushed and looked down sheepishly at her shoes, which were also her only pair of boots. She tried to play it off cool, though, since she was caught. Pretending to nod seriously, she agreed, "I though the pony was a nice touch. It was either that or a kitten."

Noah choked on his laughter as she had never flirted with him so openly, even if she dropped her voice. "Well, you'll get to see that again later," he said with a wink, glad she had looked up at him adoringly despite the jeers fro his mates. Speaking of mates, there was the James issue but he didn't want to bring that out right now in front of everyone.
"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, it was a good game." He high-fived their beater as he made his way out of the locker room. He reminded himself of his father, who always thought athletes were dumb as a post in interviews. We played a good game, and we tried our hardest, just went out there and had a good game...
It was rather like that.
Noah laughed when he saw her sheepish face. "I'm secure enough in my masculinity that either would have worked, but a pony is much better." Noah didn't like cats, and he had a bit of an informal rivalry with Juniper's cat Phallis.

Juniper got butterflies at his wink - it was incredible how he was still able to do that. Not that it's been that long. Juniper was getting the impression that their relationship would only get increasingly better. Didn't people say things faded? Got boring? This was just the opposite. Everyday Juniper was more excited to be with him.
There were a lot of high fives. Juniper remembered very little from grade school years - there was one PA teacher she had who always gave pep talks. That's the impression she got here. Pep talks. High fives. It was all incredibly sporty, but it was also awesome in its own way. United. Energized. Straight-forward.
Juniper nodded. "Agreed. Although, you know ..." Juniper looked at him with an expression that made it seem as though she couldn't be sure. "I don't think anyone actually believed me."

Noah just shrugged. It didn't really matter if they believed her or not, it added to his mystery and hyped him up. No harm there. He liked the attention. He finished getting dressed quickly and threw his arm over Juniper's shoulders and led her out of the locker room, calling over his shoulder at his team. "Cut it out with those wolf whistles, thats my woman." But he said it all in good fun. His teammates would never make a move. James on the other hand...
"So, I also heard that you were being pretty chummy with James Potter..." he said, leaving it open ended. He didn't hate James, just disliked him. The rivalry was for show, honestly, arguing with him was just fun but he didn't actually have anything against him as a person, unless of course he was trying to take his girlfriend.
He raised an eyebrow lightly. "I'm not mad, I just wanna know what the story is..." he could be the bigger person here. Right?

Juniper walked out smiling with Noah, until he asked her his question. Juniper's face fell and her heartbeat picked up out of panic. What did he know? What did he think happened? "What do you mean chummy?" she asked confused. It was a rather vague word and Juniper needed specifics in order to figure out the best way to explain herself.
Juniper was glad that he wasn't mad, though. She hated the idea that anything could ruin this happiness. This perfect happiness. Nothing in her life had ever gone so well, and Juniper was worried she was nearing a panic attack at the idea that anything could ruin it.

Noah realized that was maybe vague, but all he'd heard were rumors and he assumed there was only one instance, though maybe it was nothing after all and thus she was confused. "I dunno. I heard you were sticking up for him and he had his hands on you... and I just wanna know whats up." It was a rumor after all, and maybe things got blown funny. He wasn't sure of course.
Noah was just trying to be a reasonable person. He was too old and too well respected for that. It did him nothing to be childish, and he wanted things with Juniper to work. It would really be a let down if things well through. They'd been together too long for that. But suddenly everything was bigger now that they were dating.

Juniper realized that she didn't really appreciate the rumor mill. Hands on her? Honestly, that was a complete alternation of the facts. "Oh, that." Juniper she said, realizing precisely what instance he heard about. She started to explain. "James cartwheeled down a corridor and collided with me. He apologized and helped me up. I wouldn't call it "putting his hands on me" but whatever ... then this really bitchy girl came up for no reason and started riling on how James was disturbing the peace. She was horrible - I would've defended anyone just to spite her." That wasn't untrue. It wasn't the reason she defended James, but she didn't say it was either. Every good lie had an element of truth. And there was really no limit to how much June hated November [ooc: that sounds like the punchline to a joke. like seven ate nine.]
"And, as a prefect, I had to stop them fighting. So I told her technically James didn't break any rules." Juniper figured if the rest of the population could contrive a version of the truth to suit their interest, then Juniper had every right to make up her own version of the facts to suit her interests. Juniper, worried, looked up at Noah, waiting for a reaction. She was only withholding the fact that she and James used to be friends because she wasn't sure how he would take it and because she didn't want it getting around.

"Oh." That all made sense, though he did want to get back at james for cartwheeling into his girlfriend... Noah still thought it was a little strange for her to stand up for him, but she was a good prefect who didn't see houses. Probably something they could all attest too, but he couldn't change all at once.
"Was she a brunette? Blank stare?" He asked about the bitchy girl. It sounded like this Ravenclaw in his year. She was piece of work. "The bitchy girl..." He added in case she didn't get it. It really was unfortunate that juniper had a run in with November, if thats who it was. Though, it could be a miracle they avoid each other this long.
ooc- sorry its short.

Juniper's face lit up with recognition, "Yeah! Blunt bangs?" And a rather fantastic fashion sense, but Juniper didn't want to admit anything good about November. Of course, Juniper could've just said the name November, but "bitch girl' is how June thought of her in her head. To think that something like that had a name was bizarre.
"Don't tell me she's your year." Juniper lamented, her face looking up at him with the utmost sympathy. "To think that you actually have classes with her. Ugh!" Juniper imagined poor Noah forced by fate to spend a substantial amount of time with November over the years. Juniper reached up to squeeze his hand in support. And then she shook her head - what were they doing? "Nevermind all of this; you just won!" she said, with a big smile. No need to worry about what unpleasant encounters she may have had. Noah was in the spotlight now. "How would you like to celebrate, babe?" she asked, nudging him slightly in the side. Of course people would be waiting to shower him with attention in the common room.
ooc- no worries dear =)

Noah nodded at her continued description. "Sounds like November Wellington, she is a royal bitch. She just stares at you with those big fish eyes and hates everything, and weirdly, you want her approval or obvious hate because she can just stand there with her sour expression... its unnerving...." He rambled. He'd had some classes with her, she made him very uncomfortable.
"Yeah, she's a 7th year. She was creepy at 11 too." He said with a laugh. November was pretty actually, well, she would be if she wasn't so utterly frightening and off-putting.
Then Juniper reminded him of his victory and he grinned. He loved the feeling after a good game, your body felt pumped and alert, and you felt like king of the world. All his best sex had taken place after winning games, and tonight would be no exception. "Well, first I'm gonna do my lap of the common room and get hailed for my mad skills, and then theres this chick I'm dating (you might know her) who I would love to have some hot sex with afterwards." He winked at her lightly.

Juniper, if possible, was starting to hate November even more because of the effect she had on Noah. No one had the right to unnerve her Noah. In compensation for his perpetual torment, Juniper wrapped her arm around his waist and snuggled into his side. A comforting gesture. June wanted him to be happy, and if she had to shower him with more love in order to balance out November's discomforting aura, then she was more than happy to do that.
At his answer, Juniper chuckled before looking up at him. "No kidding! You're dating someone?" Juniper pretended to look him up and down in scrutiny. "Really? You?" Despite her sarcasm, the thought of hot sex with Noah was speeding up her heart rate already. Silly hot perfect boy - would she ever get enough of him?
It was this moment. The victory, the acceptance, the continued affection from her best friend - all of it accumulated into a strange and new notion. Juniper was happy. She was looking at her life, and with no hesitation, she was declaring it to be good. The sun was shining. Slytherins were still cheering and chanting something out in the distance. Festivities were about to ensue. Could life really be so full?
Juniper smiled.

Noah chuckled and ruffled her hair lightly before they strode into the common-room. The room erupted in cheers and he dropped June's hand lightly to run around the room high-fiving everyone. He laughed brightly. Noah loved being the man, the winner, the king... It was rather fantastic. He was beloved by all, had a cute girlfriend who could keep him out of trouble ---not like he ever really broke the rules. The hype was nice and he enjoyed it.
Noah found Juniper again, kissed her to a chorus of "oooooo"s, and seated her on a couch. He sat behind her on the back of the couch to give his customary relaying of the game and the intense moments.
ooc- maybe a skip ahead to them alone, or just end this?
