Dear New Penpal,

So I've been told this is an interesting thing to try -- to address a letter to no one. Apparently my owl is suppose to just sort of drop this off on someones lap and we're suppose to talk....

So hi You can call me Dom, it shouldn't be too obvious who I am. Anyways hi it's really nice to meet you, I'm currently a 3rd year but there are loads of us around Anyways I wont share my house or anything because some people are just weird about them. I guess I'll wait for someone to write back before I start spilling all about myself.

Hello there, Dom!

I have to say, the random owl thing is kind of brilliant. Unless, of course, you have a lazy owl. Fortunately for you, your owl popped in through the window of my dorm a couple of minutes ago, and since that means it wasn't in here already, I know you're not in here with me.

I get why you're not wanting to share your house and all. A lot of the people around here care more about silly things like the Sorting Hat's opinion than they do about things they should really be focusing on. Like classes that they're probably failing. I'm sure they're failing at least one most likely Muggle Studies if they're pigheaded enough to be concerned with the house of a penpal. In any case, I don't mind your knowing I'm in Hufflepuff.

Really, I'm rubbish at talking about myself, so I'll just let you start that off. I wouldn't want to bore you with a lot of ramble about things you wouldn't want to know.
