She was given her name, which means "victory" in French, because her date of birth fell on the anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts, in which the Order of the Phoenix and its allies prevailed against Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters. It is also the feminine version of the male given name Victor - it could refer to her mother's friend (Viktor Krum) who was also in the Triwizard Tournament. She has two younger siblings: a sister, Dominique, and a brother, Louis. Through her maternal great-grandmother, Victoire is one-eighth Veela. It is possible she lived at Shell Cottage with her family. Victoire began attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 2011. At some point, she entered into a romantic relationship with Teddy Lupin, who was two years above her. Both Victoire and Teddy Lupin have fathers who were attacked by the werewolf Fenrir Greyback. Both Victoire and Teddy Lupin have mothers with unique traits related to their physical appearances — Fleur Delacour has Veela blood, and Nymphadora Tonks was a Metamorphmagus.
(my own) Victoire was born into a large family with no shortage of good role models. For the first few years of her life, it was just Teddy and her. As toddlers, they were the adorable additions to every Weasley related wedding (Weasley/Johnson, Weasley/Granger, Weasle/Potter, etc), Victoire as flower girl and Teddy as ring bearer. And then the many cousins started coming into being, and Victoire grew up feeling responsible for them all. At family gatherings, she was the head cousin making sure everyone played nice and held hands in ther ever crossed the street. It was mostly Fred Weasley and James Potter who gave her grief, and she frequently resorted to outright bullying when it came to them. She loved her whole family though, and always felt very protective of them. Cousins and siblings - there was practically no distinction. They were always around each other.
Victoire did well in Hogwarts. Excellent grades, charming older boyfriend, and Head Girl her seventh year. Upon gradutation, she secured a position in the Department of International Magical Cooperation, as it seemed working in the Ministry is primarily what her family did. Her knowledge of French is valuable in her line of work. She often goes on business trips and talks to other foreign minitry officials. Her charm is extremely effective in negotiations. While traveling is fun, she likes being in the UK and visiting family. Now that she's out of the house, living in an apartment in London, she often aparates - visiting all her relations in turn.
