Jessamine smoothed her lace dress as she stepped into the three broomsticks inn. Seating herself at a table, she opened a tab, and ordered herself a drink of butterbeer. She wasn't about to start with firewhiskey. Jessie shrugged her cardigan off her shoulders, and placed it neatly over the back of the chair. She was waiting on Paulo. But she had arrived early, so really it was her fault she was waiting.
She kicked a heel clad foot over the other one, and tapped her leg up and down counting down the time. She checked the time, she only had a little while to wait, she wasn't sure what Paulo would want. It had been so long since she'd been out with a male, especially for drinks. She watched the door, rising a little from her chair as each person entered, wondering if it was Paulo. After finishing the butterbeer, she decided to forgo getting another drink till Paulo arrived.
She didn't want to be too tipsy by the time he arrived, she was rather a lightweight when it came to drink. That was why she generally drunk butterbeer to begin with, so she didn't get overly drunk to quickly. Jess mussed that she liked the atmosphere in the Three Broomsticks. Seeing Paulo, she waved to show him where she was. (outfit - I hope the post is okay)

Paulo had agreed to go out for drinks with Jessamine tonight. They were the youngest and hottest teachers at the school, so it only made sense. Granted, Paulo liked to get with the students, other teachers weren't so off limits. And what kind of name was Jessamine? But he was going to try and have an adult night out. Maybe it would go great, he'd find out.
He wore his usual date attire, dress shoes, dark jeans, a crisp button down and a vest. It was classic and worked in most settings. Besides, she seemed to be on the fancy side whenever he saw her, so he couldn't dress farther down that this.
Paulo was on the dot on time and went into the three broomsticks. Jassamine waved him over and he smiled as she went over to join her. She was a bit overdressed for this setting, but she looked good. He kissed her cheek in greeting-- he was from Portugal after all, and that was a reasonable way to great another adult. "You look good." He said as he sat down.
"Firewhiskey please," He asked. Paulo had a good alcohol tolerance and this was his drink of choice.

Jess blushed lightly when he kissed her cheek in greeting. She was used to the english greeting of an handshake, but that was fine. Jess wasn't arguing with that. Her cheeks flared a brighter pink, "why thank you" she smiled. It was nice to be complimented.
Jess wasn't one for dressing down. She usually wore rather expensive clothes. It helped that she had a bit of money saved up. "You look very handsome tonight" she blurted out before she could stop herself. "Right, firewhiskey" she confirmed more for her own benefit and jumped up to go grab one firewhiskey and another butterbeer. Taking them back to the table, carefully. She managed to place each drink down without spilling anything. Which was good because her dress had cost a bomb. She sipped at her butterbeer. Jess had been brought up with good manners, and like a 'lady' and apparently a lady should never swig a drink down. "How was your day?" She asked generally, she thought a nice polite conversation opener was good right... Jess didn't date much, and it was probably showing a little. She held the drink up to her lips, and sipped at it some more. Maybe she'd finish this one and then start on the firewhiskey. Jessie couldn't help but notice that he did indeed look very hot, especially in that outfit.
She knew there was a little bit of an age difference, 6 years, but that wasn't really that much. Considering that Paulo could pass for being her age, and some couples were at least 10 years apart. So in all it didn't seem that bad.

Paulo gave her a little smirk of thanks. He did look good, and he knew it. He never left the house unless he felt like he could seduce even the Queen of England. Her blushing was endearing, and maybe she was young enough to still make this interesting.
She went to get their drinks, even though someone could have brought them over, but in any case he clinked his glass against hers. "Cheers." He said, deciding to go English instead of the Portuguese equivalent. Paulo took a swig from his bottle and set it down on the wooden table with a clunk. He always took swigs, it was manly.
"My day was fine," He said with a shrug. Small talk wasn't his favorite, he liked to get right to flirting. "Some of those kids just have no idea how to handle a broom."

Jess smiled at him, and raised her glass in response, before sipping down more butterbeer. She was beginning to take larger sips, which meant she would probably get herself drunk quicker, which she wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not... "Thats good" she responded, and took another sip. Jess wasn't a good flirt-er. Not that she was aware of anyway. It had been a long time since she'd even tried to flirting.
"Really? I would have thought that would be the easiest thing to do?" she asked a little surprised, leaning forwards. Even she wasn't a brilliant flyer, but she could handle a broom at least, not that she tried anymore, she'd sold her broom to her younger brother. Not that she liked him much. She bit on her bottom lip, and realised that she'd drunk over half of her drink, so instead of sipping the rest... she downed it all, and grinned a little proud of herself. She wasn't sure if he needed another drink, but asked anyway.
"Ready for another?" she smiled brightly, and stood, ready to do order another - even if he wasn't ready she was. Jess wasn't used to pubs, and when she was told at the bar that someone would bring the drinks to the table, she felt a little silly.

Paulo laughed. Needless to say she didn't get any innuendo, so he lowered his voice a little. "Well they just don't understand the subtlety of enough pressure, and how to move with the wood..." he raised his eyebrows lightly. Granted, there were students who were terrible flyers. Ones like Arya who didn't trust the broomstick at all. Ones like Tabitha who wouldn't get higher than a foot or two off the ground. Some first years cried, a second year flipped over the front of his broomstick and broke his back. flying was an acquired skill. paulo too had been surprised to learn that.
He smirked quietly as she downed her glass rather quickly and hurriedly asked if he wanted more. "No, I'm good." He said, shaking his still mostly full bottle. Boy she was drinking quickly, maybe she was nervous. Adorable. Paulo never got nervous, especially on dates.
Paulo took a swig of her firewhiskey all the same and looked at her with a smile. "So, Jess, can i call you Jess? How was your day?" He sincerely hoped she wouldn't rattle off something boring.

Jess blushed bright red. She may not have caught the first innuendo, but she had caught that one. "well that I think I do know how to do" she spoke trying not to blush. She wasn't a great flirt, that's what she decided then, but hell she was going to try. As the waiter came back with her drink, she took the firewhiskey, and thanked him. She was incredibly nervous, she was a shy woman and never really dated, because she had dated the same guy for the whole of her hogwarts years. So she reverted to good old liquid courage. She sipped at her firewhiskey, she could never drink firewhiskey down quickly.
"Of course you can call me Jess. It's much easier to say that Jessamine" she smiled, "Can I call you Paulo?" she asked. "Boring. Flitwick asked me to grade papers - probably the worst thing about this career" she complained, but tried to keep her answer short. She remembered from her time with William that boys didn't like to listen to you complaining for too long. She bit on her lip again, trying to think of something flirty to say, but poor Jess couldn't think of anything, she'd try and follow his lead

Paulo couldn't help but laugh when realization dawned on her face and a blush spread out over her skin. She wasn't much of a flirter. Paulo liked a good banter, but if she couldn't offer that, hopefully she'd be good in bed. If this even got that far, she was beginning to seem rather traditional, which was not at all his speed.
He laughed. "What else are you gonna call me?" Paulo was his name, not a nickname like Jess. He was beginning to worry about how the night would go, but maybe she she polished off her fire whiskey she'd loosen up a bit. He good a good natured swig of his while she griped about paperwork. As a non-assistant and as a flying instructor, she didn't have papers to grade--ever. For him, the worst part of teaching was the dealing with kids. he only wanted to deal with the 6th and 7th year girls who knew how to flirt.
"Yeah must be rough having to report to someone like that." Not to mention Flitwick was tiny and old.

Jess grinned bashfully. That was before she attempted to be flirty. "You'll have to see me ride a broom sometime" picking up her own glass of firewhiskey, she sipped at it. Had she been more couragous she would have winked at the end of the statement. She placed the glass back on the table and shrugged. "Paul?" She suggested, she prefered Paulo to Paul. Paulo sounded far more exotic. She drunk more of her drink, and almost swore she could feel her brain numbing.
Maybe that was her alcohol ridden brain talking. She already drunk two butterbeers and one quarter of a firewhiskey, and she was feeling more than slightly tipsy. Showed just what a lightweight she was. "Flitwicks okay. Bit grumpy at times" mumbling most the sentence. Jessamines brilliant theory was that Flitwick was grumpy because he was old. It was probably obvious she wasn't a ravenclaw. She grinned, and perked up. "Don't think he'll ever retire though." She loved old man. He was seriously sweet to her, albeit a little grumpy at times. Jess figured he had reason to be grumpy as well. He had lived through two wars. She gulped down more firewhiskey, she paused before placing the drink down.

He smiled, maybe tonight wouldn't be a disaster after all. "I'd like that." He nodded with a sideways smile. His knee brushed hers under the table. The nice thing about being shallow was that you never knew you were being shallow, and as such, he didn't give a damn about how nice a person she might have been, but more on what her underwear looked like as she took it off in his bed.
He snorted. Paul... it sounded so... boring and English and ridiculous. Plus, he didn't look like a Paul, Pauls were silly little men with silly lives. Paul did mean little or small in this country. "Let's stick with Paulo, yes?" he said with a laugh, raising his glass a little before finishing it off and flagging for another one. This date would go much better with plenty of alcohol.
Binns, Flitwick and Hagrid were all people he never saw retiring. Everyone but Binns would die, as Binns was a ghost. Students would have to suffer through him till the end of time. "How old is he anyway?"

She grinned, maybe she could flirt, but that little statement had been the flirtiest thing she could think of. She jumped as if she'd received an electric shock, when his knee brushed hers, but she laughed it off, whilst uncrossing her ankles. She wasn't about to sit like a man but what harm was there in making herself seem more available. She even reached one leg out in front of herself. She smiled "Paulo is much nicer" Jessamine agreed, plus Paul was not a name you wanted to moan in bed. The name Paulo, on the other hand... "and much sexier than Paul" she added as an afterthought. When he asked how old Flitwick was, she laughed. "Old" she answered, she couldn't tell him a specific age, she'd guess he was around 100. "very old. Ive never asked him exactly how old. Its very tempting to ask though" she always wanted to ask, but felt rude doing so. She sipped at her drink, and soon found herself at the end of her glass. Hadnt she only been down to half a glass a moment ago? She thought confused, but ordered another one.

Nicer wasn't exactly the adjective he was looking for, but when she came back with sexier and moved her leg under the table he grinned as he took a swig from his new fire whiskey. That was more like it. Paulo was far sexier than Paul, as a name... Though he couldn't recall meeting any sexy Paul's in his life.
If he had worked for Flitwick he certainly would have asked how old the coot was. He was probably ancient. It struck him as a miracle he hadn't died yet. he was tiny and wrinkled, but tenacious in his way and as such, he would probably live forever. "I can't believe you never asked. Does he even celebrate his birthday anymore?"
Maybe he lost count.

Jess couldn't recall a single sexy Paul. Nor a sexy George - she had seen Easy A. She took the drink from the waiter, and drank from it, she blinked at the taste, but drank more anyway. She watched him from her seat, and edged forwards on her seat, till she was perched precariously on the edge. "Never came up" she shrugged. "I didn't like to ask" Jess furrowed her eyebrows in thought.
"I don't know. I've never seen him celebrate it... Maybe we should ask Mcgonagall, she's known him for years" she said, though she wasn't actually serious about going to McGonagall. It wasn't easy for Jess to flirt but she tried again, this time brushing her foot gently against his leg. She even shifted in her seat till her dress hem was raised around half way up her thighs, so it would still look acceptable. Though seeing as she was sat at the table, he probably couldn't see it. She sipped at her drink again, and smiled at him, before tipping the glass up and drinking away. She was now trying to get drunk, she just hoped she wouldn't have a killer hangover in the morning.

Enough about Flitwick. he certainly wasn't a turn on and there was no time to waste talking about him. Besides, she was loosening up with some alcohol, and brushing her leg against him. paulo took the initiative and ran his fingers over her leg, just above the knee as he swigged his fire whiskey.
He wasn't sure if she was drunk enough to convince to get out of here. Of course, he lived in the castle, like all professors, but as an assistant, did she? "So, Jess..." He looked at her with smoldering bedroom eyes, hoping that she was going to receptive. She was a little shy, and possibly old fashioned. "Wanna get out of here?"

She blushed under his stare, but smiled. "Yes lets" she agreed. Jess had her own flat in london. She lived on her own, but her friend liked to visit her a lot. She hoped he wasn't there when they got back. She wasn't sure if he would want to go back to her place, but she'd ask. She didn't really want to go back to hogwarts. That was work. This was pleasure. "I have my own place, wanna go there?" she asked, normally she would have forced his fingers off of her leg, but being drunk she let him, and even giggled - what she was ticklish. Jess usually was old fashioned, but had been known to loosen up after a few drinks. She finished her firewhiskey, downing the rest of the glass down and wincing as the alcohol burnt her throat. She ran a hand through her blonde locks, waiting for his reply.
